Biology Postdoc/Research Scientist

A Biology Postdoctoral/Research Scientist position is available immediately in an NIH-funded imaging research lab at the Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, MO. The candidate should be energetic, motivated and highly skilled with PhD or MD in neurology/neurosciences, neurobiology, pharmacology, immunology, pathology, or molecular biology. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in pharmacology, bioanalytical and immunoassays, IHC staining, T-cell/B-cell characterization, molecular imaging, research animal models, rodent dissection and handling radioactive material. Strong communication skills, analytical and multi-tasking skills, and a dedication to teamwork are essential for this position.

Ongoing projects involve preclinical and clinical validation of molecular imaging contrast agents for diagnosis and staging of diseases, monitoring disease progression, and evaluating therapeutic efficacy. The candidate will write quarterly progress reports and contribute to research manuscripts. The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art laboratory and departmental core facilities for molecular imaging, and many opportunities for collaborative research at one of the top medical schools in the USA.

Qualifications: PhD or MD with strong training in pharmacology, molecular biology, neurology, neuroscience, neurobiology, pharmacology, pathology, or immunology. Prior experience with rodent dissection and animal handling is beneficial. Good communication skills and analytical ability required.
