Job Details

The Rehab/Neuro unit is a 29 bed unit which primarily serves the adult patient population, and some older pediatric patients or late adolescents. Support staff on this unit care for neurosurgery patients, neuro-oncology patients and inpatient rehab.

Function provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.

Scope Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.

Essential Job Functions

Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Three years of relevant work experience. May substitute additional education for required experience a one to one basis.

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
