Job Details

We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher with a strong background in Molecular Neuroscience to study the effects of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) donation and their organelles on the treatment of accelerated aging as a result of cancer treatment at the cellular and molecular level in mouse models. We are looking for somebody who is creative and eager to explore novel pathways of regeneration of the brain as a result of cell therapy.

The primary purpose of the Research Scientist is to apply their technical expertise and experience to plan, coordinate, design, supervise and carry out research projects. Impacts cancer research throughout the institution

Research Activity
Proteomics
Transfection of MSC and neuronal cells.
Culturing of neuronal precursors and mature neurons.
Isolation of cellular organelles.
Intravital and super resolution microscopy.
Calcium imaging.
Collect and process ex vivo biological samples.
Perform immunohistochemistry.
Perform metabolic studies using Seahorse Flux analysis.
Other
Responsible for monitoring laboratory equipment and implementing safety procedures.
Strong interest in basic and translational research.
Supervision of 1-2 research assistants.

SONJ

Required: PhD in one of the natural sciences or related field or Medical degree With PhD, no experience required. With Medical degree, two years of experience in experimental or scientific work.
