Nanchang University, being the world's first-class discipline construction university under the national "double first-class" plan, is the only national "211 Project" key construction university and the high-level university of overall construction in Jiangxi Province, and is the university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Jiangxi Province.

Nanchang University is located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, with beautiful scenery and the forest coverage rate of 63.1%, ranking second in China. Nanchang University started with Jiangxi Public Medical School established in 1921 and National Chung Cheng University in 1940.

In 1993, Jiangxi University merged with Jiangxi University of Technology to set up Nanchang University, which initiated the reform of the national higher education system.

In 2005, Nanchang University merged with Jiangxi Medical College to establish New Nanchang University, which uncovered a new chapter of school reform and development.

The school now enjoys Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology and Medicine, with more than 100 undergraduate majors in 12 disciplines and three national key (Cultivation) disciplines, 15 first-level disciplines for doctoral authorization and 46 first-level disciplines for master's authorization.

It confers 1 authority class for professional doctoral degree and 23 authority classes for professional master's degree (including 20 fields for Master of Engineering), and 11 post-doctoral research stations. The university has also set up 5 affiliated hospitals and 9 national key clinical specialties.

The university's seven disciplines have entered the top 1% of ESI world rankings, covering Chemistry, Clinical Medicine, Agricultural Science (mainly Food Science and Engineering), Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biology and Biochemistry. Among them, Agricultural Science (mainly Food Science and Engineering) and Clinical Medicine have respectively entered the top 2.2% and 4% of ESI world rankings. (I) Outstanding Talents

1. Recruitment Requirements

• Academicians of CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) or CAE Chinese Academy of Engineering), or top-notch talents recognized at home and abroad in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences; Or professors working in famous overseas universities or senior researchers in famous overseas research institutions; Or the leader of the national key R&D programs, of the NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation) Committee's major projects and innovative groups;
• Candidates above the level of leading talents in the National Special Support Program; Or winners of famous international and national teaching and scientific research awards;
• Well-known scholars who have achieved major achievements recognized internationally and domestically;

2. Working and Living Conditions

• Academic teams are organized with outstanding talents as the core and working secretaries are allocated;
• The annual salary shall not be less than 1 million yuan in accordance with The Interim Measures of Nanchang University for the Introduction of High-level Talents;
• Setting-in allowance and housing subsidies are negotiable;
• Priority will be given to the Double Thousand Plan of Jiangxi Province. The Province will provide the project fund ranged from 2 million yuan to 3 million yuan. 2. Working and Living Conditions

• Academic teams are organized with leading talents as the core and academic assistants are allocated;
• The annual salary will be ranged from 500,000 to 800,000 yuan in accordance with The Interim Measures of Nanchang University for the Introduction of High-level Talents;
