TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN BIOMEDICAL GLYCOSCIENCE

COMPLEX CARBOHYDRATE RESEARCH CENTER, UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA

The University of Georgia announces an opening for a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center. Applications will be considered from talented and accomplished investigators who currently maintain or exhibit potential for developing vigorous research programs in any area of biomedical glycoscience. Successful candidates will show evidence that their research program will complement existing strengths of the CCRC including functional and structural glycomics using MS, NMR, modeling, and MD simulation, enzymology and structural biology of glycan biosynthesis, developmental glycobiology, roles of glycans and glycoconjugates in disease processes such as cancer, inflammation, immunology, cell signaling, metabolic, neural and genetic disorders, microbial glycobiology, chemical and chemoenzymatic glycan synthesis, and plant glycoscience (www.ccrc.uga.edu). 

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent), at least three years relevant postdoctoral research experience, an outstanding publication record in the areas of glycoscience and a well-developed research plan that is competitive for NIH funding.
