Director of the Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation
The Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation (CEGR) was founded in 1992 to support and stimulate research and training, enhance collaboration, and increase the visibility of gene regulation research at Penn State. The Center seeks candidates for the position of Director to lead the center and promote its excellence. CEGR is composed of ten highly collaborative faculty members utilizing multiple approaches to study cutting edge questions in eukaryotic gene regulation. The Director will be appointed as a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology within the Eberly College of Science and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences at the Penn State University Park campus.
Candidates should have a history of outstanding research accomplishments in eukaryotic gene regulation, evidence of leadership and participation in interdisciplinary research, an international reputation, a distinguished record of extramurally-funded research, and a commitment to teaching, training and fostering diversity and inclusiveness in the practice and teaching of science.
