Postdoctoral position is available immediately to join a productive and innovative lab in the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine to study broad aspects of cardiovascular and kidney diseases and potential treatments. Research projects include mechanism of action of the antiaging protein, klotho, in cardiovascular and kidney diseases; central (CNS) mechanism of regulation of fluid and electrolyte and cardiovascular homeostasis; novel gene therapy strategy for polycystic kidney disease. Electrophysiological, biochemical, imaging, and animal genetic approaches will be used to answer questions. MD and/or PhD with the above relevant research background and strong motivation are invited to apply. Expertise in electrophysiology and/or animal genetic models is particularly desirable.
