EUKARYOTIC MOLECULAR BIOLOGY

Villanova University Department of Biology invites applications for a Tenure-Track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR position in EUKARYOTIC MOLECULAR BIOLOGY, beginning August 2020. Possible research areas include cancer biology, virology, parasitology, neurobiology, and other areas using modern molecular biological techniques. Will teach courses in molecular biology and in area of specialty.

 Research in the Department ranges from molecules to ecosystems and we seek individuals who complement existing strengths in the department. The successful candidate will establish a productive research program, integrate undergraduate and graduate students in their research, actively seek extramural funding, and contribute to the vibrant curriculum of the department at both the undergraduate and graduate (Master’s) levels. Candidates that use quantitative, modelling, bioinformatics, and/or genomics approaches in their research are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience is expected.
