Tenure Track Faculty Position - Biophysics

The Department of Biophysics at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of assistant professor.  We seek outstanding candidates who study molecular mechanisms of biological processes, in vitro or in vivo, using physical and quantitative approaches.  We particularly encourage applications from those with backgrounds in single-molecule spectroscopy or quantitative imaging, but are interested in all excellent candidates regardless of technical approach.  Scientists within the Department of Biophysics participate in a vibrant, interdisciplinary, interdepartmental, and highly collaborative research community within the Medical Center, and enjoy unparalleled access to state-of-the-art research cores in advanced light microscopy, cryo-electron microscopy, bioinformatics, high performance computing, X-ray crystallography, macromolecular NMR spectroscopy, molecular biophysics, protein chemistry and high-throughput screening. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a concise description of previous research accomplishments and future plans (3 page limit) and three letters of reference by November 1, 2019 to http://academicjobsonline.org.  The posting number is 14072
