The Clinical Design, Delivery, and Analytics (CDDA), a division of Lilly Research Laboratories, partners with Medical colleagues in Research, Oncology, Biomedicines, and Diabetes to effectively and efficiently design, plan, and execute clinical trials across all phases of research. The purpose of the Design Hub Analytics Budgeting Associate role is to perform and lead significant budget development activities. You will be a key team member providing budget process guidance and influence.
Key responsibilities you will have in this role ….

Execute, maintain and optimize Lilly's clinical trial budgeting process
  • Complete budget development, coordination and communication at a trial and/or country level.
  • Process incoming budget requests, review protocols, identify procedure codes, review company and industry cost data, prepare budgets, network/validate key assumptions, evaluate risk, and facilitate alignment.
  • Facilitate business process and fair market value consistency across therapeutic areas, studies and countries.
  • Analyze clinical trial progress and costs, benchmark information from external and historical data sources, identify potential improvement opportunities, handle study close-out activities, and use metrics to drive increased accountability.
  • Own the identification of business process gaps, investigate potential opportunities, and provide solutions to address gaps.
Support data elements for budgeting processes
  • Develop clinical study negotiating strategies, communicate Lilly's position on various financial issues, control study expenditures, collect feedback and facilitate communication with the appropriate study team, TPO or affiliate/regional/global personnel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in science or business related field with at least one year experience or High School Diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience working within a clinical setting or supporting a clinical development process.
