Weill Cornell Medicine Neuroscience Faculty Position

Neurobiology of Disease

The Helen and Robert Appel Alzheimer’s Disease Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine focuses on leading-edge science to overcome neurodegenerative diseases. We are located in the vibrant tri-institutional scientific community that consists of Weill Cornell Medicine, Sloan-Kettering and Rockefeller University in New York City.

We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor levels. Successful candidates will join the neuroscience community in the Brain and Mind Research Institute and in relevant Graduate Training Programs at Weill Cornell Medicine. Primary criteria for appointment will be outstanding records of innovative research, academic performance and commitment to disease-focused neuroscience. Of particular interest are applicants who are using electrophysiology/imaging, immunology, and computational approaches to unravel mechanisms of major brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions. Demonstrated ability to attract independent grant support is another selection criterion. Additional requirements include a medical or doctoral degree, and at least four years of teaching experience (during residency, fellowship, and/or in the lab) by the time the appointment becomes effective.

Women and underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. The search will continue until the position is filled. However, to ensure full consideration, applications should be received by November 15, 2019.

Please send your curriculum vitae, a description of achievements and research interests, and the names of three references to: Marcella Garvey at mag2091@med.cornell.edu.
