The Department of Cell Biology at Emory University School of Medicine seeks outstanding applicants to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to complement department research interests in cell biology, developmental biology and neuroscience (http://cellbio.emory.edu). This is a broad search open to investigators working on fundamental questions in molecular, cell and developmental biology. Highly qualified applications at the Associate Professor level may also be considered.

Competitive applicants will have a strong publication record and will be expected to build a vigorous research program. A demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding is a plus. Recruits will also participate in classroom instruction of medical and graduate students and contribute to a robust program of graduate-level research training that has placed Emory in the top tier of US national rankings for predoctoral NIH funding. Emory offers extensive opportunities for collaboration within our own biomedical research community, and with neighboring institutions including the Centers for Disease Control and Georgia Institute of Technology. The Atlanta metropolitan area continues to be rapidly growing, culturally diverse and offers an excellent quality of life.

The Department of Cell Biology currently has fourteen faculty with diverse basic research interests utilizing multiple genetic model organisms and employing multidisciplinary approaches. The Department is positioned to undergo continued growth in the coming few years and will offer competitive start-up, modern laboratory space and access to state-of-the-art core facilities, including the state of the art Integrated Cellular Imaging Core Facility (https://www.cores.emory.edu/).
