The Ma Lab at the University of Pittsburgh is looking for self-motivated postdocs to study Liver Pathophysiology.
The Ma lab has expertise in the fields of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutics with a focus on the mechanisms of drug-induced liver injury. We use genetic, pharmacologic and metabolomic approaches in our research. We have published a series of articles in this field (Nat Med. 2013; Hepatology 2016; J Clin Invest 2019; Sci Adv 2019). We are now recruiting new postdocs to continue our research in drug-induced liver injury. Postdocs will be encouraged to conduct independent research resulting in high quality publications and to prepare for long-term careers in academia or industry.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. and have research experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or immunology. Candidates should be highly motivated and be able to work with mouse models. Competitive salary (plus benefits) and excellent work environment will be provided.
Interested candidates should send their CV and a brief summary of research experience to Dr. Xiaochao Ma (mxiaocha@pitt.edu).
