Job Details

Supervise performance improvement teams, configures improvement strategies for complex projects and takes leadership role within teams. Provides specialized expertise in performance improvement and recommends departmental policy in area of expertise. Conducts complex needs assessments. Works with department managers to develop successful cross-functional teams to plan performance improvement programs that will enable them to reach their strategic goals. Designs, executes and assures effectiveness of a system of internal controls. Directs external consulting performance improvement projects, with project design and Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for the assignment. Also responsible for divisional metrics and reporting.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Supervisor Role Supervises/manages staff and all of their key functions including workload assessment and planning, work reviews/1:1 meetings, development and monitoring of applicable policies and procedures, and issue resolution. Conducts performance evaluations, and handles personnel matters. Establishes goals, determine resource requirements, and allocates available resources to meet those goals.

Support process improvement and deliver associated training

Lead and assist customers in development or improvement of processes to support their work, as well as offer appropriate training as required. Implement tools and methods for continuous performance improvement, including development of training programs to meet specific needs. Assist in the design, development and facilitate courses related to process improvement and metrics. Course can include LEAN, Data Driven Decision Making, and Change Management (may include others).

Reporting/Metrics

Analyzes and report on data from various sources including Mainsaver, Learning Management System and other FM applications. Prepares and distributes periodic and ad hoc reports for departmental or divisional use. Design and oversight of the distribution of spreadsheets, databases and presentations as needed. Includes development, scheduling, analysis and distribution of education center/training (LMS) reports, Qualtrics reporting and survey analysis, mandatory divisional reporting (EEE, ELPT, manager curriculum, EHS EOP and Hazcom), other FM reports (Mainsaver, FM Space, BAS, FAR etc.) Develop and support the reporting and analysis of key measurements, trends, and benchmarks. Oversee and collaborate on divisional metrics dashboard.

Divisional Surveys

Obtain Customer and Employee feedback for divisional products and services. Design/develop and distribute surveys using Qualtrics and/or SharePoint. Provide reports and analysis on survey results.

FM Portal

Participate in FM Portal Activities, including:
• Participate as PAC (as site or content manager)
• Develop and enforce standardized portal processes and site structure defined by business need
• Develop and maintain sites, pages, lists, etc, within area of responsibility (ex. business unit, community, or team) help tie business needs to Portal use
• Manage permissions delegated by site manager for group sites within area of responsibility
• Provide direction to content managers and others for file storage, page and site structure
• Suggest and assist with site and page content changes
• Conduct site reviews on sites within area of responsibility

Required: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development or related field. Three years of performance improvement, performance management, or project management experience in a business or health care environment equivalent.

Preferred Education: Master's Level Degree

Preferred Certification: Certified Quality Manager

Preferred Experience: Five years of curriculum development or project management experience in technology, business, or health care (equivalent to the level of the MDACC Educational Specialist), and one year of supervisory experience.
