The Stockton University Biology Program seeks to fill a full time, one year, non-tenure track position, at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning September 2019. Teaching responsibilities will include microbiology (lecture and laboratory), contributing to teaching introductory biology and/or genetics (lectures and/or laboratory). The successful candidate must demonstrate a dedication to excellent teaching, in a liberal arts environment. Stockton is committed to building a culturally diverse faculty and student body.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching load is typically 24 teaching credits hours per academic year with lectures carrying 4 credit hours and laboratories 2 credit hours.
• Excellence in teaching is expected.
• Evening teaching responsibilities are possible.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD is required for appointment as an Assistant Professor.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching and/or post-graduate experience is desirable.
