Position Summary

A motivated postdoctoral research fellow is wanted to study the relationship between T cell-mediated inflammation and lymphomagenesis. Immune system has both anti- and pro-tumor activities. Our study is to understand how activated T cell-mediated immunity facilitates the development of T cell lymphoma in thymus. Our research will use mouse models and molecular biology tool to understand the mechanisms responsible for Th17 immunity in promoting the development of lymphoma. This lab has been focused on studying ROR?t-dependent Th17 immunity, referring to (Nature Immunology, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28846085 ; Nature Communications: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30451821 ; PNAS, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29282318 ; Journal of Immunology, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30567733 ).

Our research topics are closely related to the development of drugs for treatment of autoimmunity, and now to lymphoma. The recent postdoctoral fellows from this lab are recruited by pharmaceuticals (Eli Lilly) and academics as faculty. Experimental approaches require the candidate to be familiar with basic immunology knowledge and tumor biology as well as techniques for manipulation of T cells and lymphoma. Candidate shall have publication records to demonstrate the academic excellence in research.
