Position Summary

A Research Associate I position is available in the CAR T Cell manufacturing department. This is a fast-paced lab involved in cutting edge technology, research and clinical immunotherapeutic programs. We will train new personnel in project specific techniques and procedures. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Application of aseptic techniques for media or cytokine compounding;
  • Passaging, maintenance and cryopreservation of cell cultures (e.g., T cell and tumor cell lines);
  • Genetic modification, cloning, and characterization of T cells;
  • Performance of T cell functional assays (e.g., cytotoxicity and cytokine production assays);
  • Assisting in revising/maintaining TCTRL protocols and in cell product manufacturing/process development;
  • Clinical manufacturing of T cell products in our cGMP facility;
  • Preparation of cell products for in vivo/murine administration;
  • Providing routine lab support and maintenance activities in the spirit of GLP.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Requires a BS in Biological Sciences or a related field.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in lab work as well as accurate record keeping and lab documentation are a must.

Preferred education experience and skills:
  • Hands-on experience with cellular immunology, desired.
  • Priority will be given to candidates with previous experience in sterile technique and tissue culturing.
