The Magzoub Laboratory (https://www.magzoub-lab.com) at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications from individuals to be appointed as a Postdoctoral Associate. The research group under the supervision of Professor Mazin Magzoub, will focus on elucidating structure, function and mechanism associated with pathogenic protein self-assembly (e.g. Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases).

Successful applicants will be highly motivated with an interest in working in the areas of Biophysics, Molecular Medicine, Chemical Biology, and must hold a Ph.D. degree in a related field. The ideal candidate will have research experience in protein misfolding diseases, amyloid research and/or protein biophysics, with a strong background in optical spectroscopy and microscopy. Experience in mammalian cell culture, protein expression and purification, and electron microscopy is highly desirable.
