The Feinberg School of Medicine’s Division of Vascular Surgery, the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University, and the Center for Advanced Regenerative Engineering seek a full-time tenure track Investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a well-funded research program in regenerative or tissue engineering with significant emphasis on convergence research and translational activities to positively impact patient care in cardiovascular health. Candidates with experience in two or more of the following areas will be given priority: 1) stem cell and developmental biology (including induced pluripotent stem cell technology), 2) synthesis, characterization and applications of biomaterials for tissue regeneration, 3) tissue or organ engineering, and 4) implantable medical devices and animal models for their evaluation. The candidate must be committed to contributing to the high quality education of a diverse student body at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in fields related to regenerative engineering and must currently possess independent funding. Salary is commensurate with experience.
