Visiting Lecturer – Biomedical Engineering

University of Massachusetts Lowell

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a full-time Visiting Lecturer with expertise in biomedical engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to begin work in September 2019 and assist in teaching a range of BME courses that may include: Applications Programming (MatLab), Medical Device Design, Bioinstrumentation and Lab, Quantitative Physiology and Lab, Biomechanics, Thermodynamics, Transport Phenomena, Biomaterials, and other courses as required. In addition to delivering high-quality courses, the position includes service contributions to the Department and the University.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or closely-related discipline
  • College-level teaching experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to speak and write clearly in English
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and diverse populations
