Faculty Position in Stem Cell Research

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre at the University Health Network (UHN) is seeking an outstanding Scientist with a research program focused on the biology and translational applications of stem cells in cancer. Expertise in genetics, epigenetics, or metabolism would be of asset.

We are seeking to recruit a PhD or MD/PhD scientist within the first years of completing their post-doctoral fellowship. The successful candidate will have an outstanding research track record during their PhD and postdoctoral training and be expected to develop an independent world-class research program.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top cancer research centres worldwide, has a longstanding history of landmark discoveries in stem cell research dating back to the original identification of stem cells by Drs. Till and McCulloch. Understanding stem cell biology in cancer and normal hematopoiesis remains a core strength and priority of the centre.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is a member of the University Health Network (UHN) which encompasses Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Michener Institute of Education and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The successful candidate will be eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Medical Biophysics or related departments at the University of Toronto. Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience and be consistent with UHN compensation policy (range of $90,000 - $180,000 plus benefit package). The full-time permanent position is available immediately, but the search will remain open until the position is filled. The position will be located in Toronto.
