Job Summary/Basic Function:
Postdoctoral fellow and Assistant Staff Scientist positions are available in Dr. Wan Hee Yoon's lab, in Functional & Chemical Genomics Research Program at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF). Yoon lab studies questions at the intersection between metabolism and human neurological diseases. We are taking a combination of Drosophila genetics, biochemical, and genomic approaches as well as patient-derived iPSC study. Our group is situated within collaborative functional genomics and mitochondria biology communities and is a member of the rapidly growing Functional and Chemical Genomics Program at the OMRF.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent

Researchers with strong interest in metabolism, mitochondria biology and neurological diseases are welcome to apply.
Expertise in any of the following areas is highly valued though not required:
- Drosophila genetics
- Metabolism
- Human iPSC
- Developmental biology
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, use manual dexterity, talk or hear; Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or rodent dander. May work with toxic, caustic chemicals, radioactive materials, liquid nitrogen, human tissue or blood. Potential risk of electrical shock. Occasional exposure to cold 4C, and/or extreme cold -80C from freezers. Noise level is usually moderate.
