Rush University Graduate College invites applications for a tenure-track position (the appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate level based on the accomplishments of the successful candidate). The ideal candidate will have earned a PhD or an MD and will pursue their translational or basic science research preferably by creatively addressing important questions in neuroscience or cancer related fields. The Rush Graduate College offers excellent research facilities, competitive start-up funds, and operational support.  

The incumbent will have experience and expertise in basic and/or translational research and will contribute the educational mission of the graduate college by directing the Master of Science in Biotechnology (MSB) Program. The MSB Program provides a rigorous academic experience, including hands-on exposure to, and practical experience in, basic and translational research. Primary responsibilities as Program Director will be curriculum review, student progression and mentoring, as well as facilitating community building, Program identity, and student-faculty interaction. Additional responsibilities include organizing experiential mentoring opportunities and peer mentoring.
