Rush University Graduate College invites applications for a position at the level of non-tenure track Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate will contribute to, and lead, research in a lab that uses multifaceted approaches to understand membrane protein trafficking events (e.g. Exp Cell Res. 372:1-15, 2018). The candidate will have been actively engaged in cutting-edge laboratory research in an area of cell biology/biochemistry with potential relevance to cancer biology or neuroscience. Contributing to research by mentoring trainees, performing experiments, analyzing data, grant preparation, writing manuscripts, and lab management are all aspects of this position.

The successful candidate will have will have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degrees with postdoctoral training. Substantial laboratory and manuscript/grant writing experience are required, as is evidence of scientific rigor, creativity, and originality. Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to interact with a range of personnel including faculty, students, and support staff.

The salary range is competitive and is based on applicant’s qualifications.
