The University of Copenhagen is actively seeking two new Professors who will be leading their own novel research programs within basic metabolic research at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research to commence 1 March 2020.

Each Professor will receive a competitive package including significant start-up funds, and be part of an international scientific collaboration at the Maersk Tower www.maersktower.ku.dk.

Job description
When considering applications for the professorships, the main emphasis will be on the applicants’ abilities to document a high level of original scientific work at an international level within the area of metabolism.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are familiar with integrative research approaches within the broad area of basic metabolic research with an application towards human pathophysiology. The Center’s vision is to strengthen interdisciplinary research that transforms the basic understanding of mechanisms involved in metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies.
