Do you have expertise in Clinical Development analytics? Have you demonstrated strong clinical development domain expertise with aptitude towards data flows? This is an exciting opportunity for you to bring innovative approaches and expertise to design of clinical trials. We continue to build a team of diverse and engaged analytics experts to influence the direction of our clinical development platform.

As the Design Hub Analytics Advisor you lead a diverse and cross functional unit to deliver excellence in clinical plan design. The Advisor works closely with the Therapeutic Area components, as well as other functions of the Clinical Design Delivery Analytics (CDDA) and Business Units. This role requires flexibility across Design Hub teams and will demand a broader set of responsibilities to drive greater efficiency through less hand offs, shared learning and ultimately drive cycle time improvements. You will influence delivery of programs optimized for components such as country allocation, site selection and ultimately improving enrollment through curating, maintaining, and utilizing data rich sources and novel technologies/techniques, and resource and financial modeling.
Primary ResponsibilitiesFinancial Cost Modeling and Trial and Country Budgets
  • Real time transparency of scenario and option costs to inform decisions; rapid analysis of actuals compared to plan to inform future modeling
  • Partner with and use the Report Management Facility data sources and capabilities
  • Drive to include global capacity forecasts in order to complete the cost picture
  • Capture trial and country level costing both planned and actuals to drive model improvement
  • Support Trial and Country budgets for global trials
Informatics and Data Elements
  • Demonstrates broad data inputs to inform design scenarios, country and site allocations optimizing time, value, cost and or risk
  • Analyse standard of care modeling, identify new data sources, manage research and business data requests
  • Identify and secure necessary data sources to support portfolio needs
  • Partner with Clinical Systems organization to secure real time modeling systems and technology
  • Ensure completion of modeling requests by applying clinical development, TA and modeling expertise to create scenarios and associated costs
  • Create and maintain TA archetypes and overall country performances summaries
  • Understand and utilize the competitive landscape data globally to inform the trial models and predictions
Analytics
  • Lead a multi-functional team to curate a clinical data platform to build future models at a faster pace and scalable output
  • Utilize skills within the team to build POCs for future models and then validate and apply models to the data platform at scale for DH Analytics/Informatics to get to value with speed
  • Build a User Experience/Interface for greater team access
Continuous Improvement
  • Integrate processes and systems within the Analytics team and across the Design Hub to ensure hand off reduction and improve efficiencies
  • Build and implement a framework of templates and content libraries for teams and governance
  • Leverage standardized approaches where possible to reduce complexity and improve efficiency across TAs, deliver on these systematized standard approaches with ultimate goal to make program and protocol design faster and less resource intensive
  • Build enough flexibility to allow "fit for purpose" designs
Organisational Leadership
  • Work closely with counterparts in the Design Hub Foundations and TAs, and the CDDA to continue to evolve Lilly standards, tools, and standard methodologies across development
  • Build an organizational culture that focuses on inclusion and innovation, continual improvement, and with an external understanding and awareness
  • Support flexibility of resources across therapeutic areas while aligning to deliver on portfolio prioritization
  • Apply project management skills and tools

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a scientific or health related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical development
