Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology

Lawrence University, a selective undergraduate liberal arts college and conservatory of music located in Appleton, Wisconsin, invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor of biology (full-time) to begin September 1, 2019. The successful applicant should hold a PhD in biology or related discipline, and be interested in working closely with undergraduate students. The successful applicant will teach at least one of three established introductory courses: BIOL 130: Integrative Biology: Cells to Organisms, BIOL150: Integrative Biology: Organisms to Ecosystems, or BIOL 170: Integrative Biology: Experimental Design and Statistics. In addition, they will teach intermediate and/or upper level courses related to their expertise. A successful candidate will teach either one course with a laboratory or two non-laboratory courses in each of three 10-week academic terms. Modest funds to support research with undergraduates are available, as is research space and equipment.
