The Medical Institute of Bioregulation, Kyushu University, aims to enhance our understanding of the Host-Defense System, an essential regulatory mechanism involved in human biology, at the cellular and molecular levels. With the long-term goal of curing diseases, the Institute has become one of the most active and productive research institutes in Japan, and has established itself as a world-renowned research institute for basic medical science. Our current goal is to establish a center of excellence for the Host-Defense System, focusing on multi-scale and transomics medicine.
In April 2018, the Research Center for Systems Immunology was newly established with two divisions: the Division of Bioinformatics and Division of Mucosal Immunology. We are now going to establish two more divisions: namely, the Division of Allergy and Immunology and Division of Cancer Immunology by 2021.
This time, we are recruiting a promising young researcher specializing in allergy or cancer immunology as an independent Tenure-track Associate Professor.
Regarding this employment, our Institute will provide financial support for a start-up and one postdoctoral position.


Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree and have an outstanding research record regarding such fields as allergy and immunology or cancer immunology and have at least 5 original articles, including 3 or more first-author articles in authoritative international academic journals. All candidates are expected to have a strong background in cellular and molecular biology, and to be interested in actively participating in multi-omics analyses in the field of allergy or cancer immunology for the development of novel therapeutics.


Employment Duration:
5 years tenure-track
After completion of the initial 5-year period, the opportunity to obtain tenure is possible.
In addition, for outstanding researchers, it will be possible over time to be promoted to professor in this post.
