At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Provide technical support to senior level experts and subject matter specialists on industrial chemicals, genetically-engineered microorganisms, and nanomaterials;
- Provide scientific or engineering support for environmental fate and transport and exposure assessment activities;
- Provide technical support to identify environmental fate and transport, exposure, and risk-related research needs;
- Provide support for the application of data storage and retrieval systems, methods, and models for assessing environmental fate and transport and exposure.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
You will spend 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
