Postdoctoral fellow
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Department of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual with a recent PhD degree in biomedical sciences and solid experience in cell signaling, molecular cell biology, and biochemistry. Experience with animal handling and mouse genetics is preferred.The candidate will study lipid signaling and metabolism, and inter-organelle communication in cancer or vascular disease. We employ interdisciplinary approaches, including animal and cellular imaging, biochemistry and molecular biology, proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, and functional genomics.
The successful applicant will be working in an active research department within the renowned Texas Medical Center (TMC) and gaining exposure to cutting-edge cell biology technologies. The city of Houston also offers comfortable lifestyle and ample career opportunities.
