Director

The Universidade NOVA de Lisboa invites applications for a full time position as Director of the Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical (IHMT NOVA)

The position of Director of the Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical (IHMT NOVA) of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa is open for applications.

The Director, whether of Portuguese or other nationality, must have a doctorate degree (PhD). Applications for Director must be from Full Professors or Research Coordinators from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa or from other teaching universities and research institutions, national or international. The Director must have scientific seniority in areas of interest to the mission of the IHMT NOVA (post-graduation education, scientific research, internationalization and cooperation for development) and relevant management experience. A good knowledge of spoken and written Portuguese and English languages is required.

The Director must have initiative and strategic vision, as well as capacity to implement the statutory mission of the IHMT NOVA, promoting national and international contacts, and representing the IHMT in the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and in the national and international contexts. 

The Director is also the main responsible for fundraising and promotion of the IHMT NOVA external image.
