Weill Cornell Medicine
Director, Molecular Imaging Innovations Institute
Department of Radiology
The Department of Radiology seeks established applicants for a tenure-track position at the full professor rank to lead the Molecular Imaging Innovations Institute (MI3) as its Director. Required credentials include a PhD and/or MD degree, and a productive academic career at the associate and/or full professor rank as evidenced by a significant track record of externally-funded research in molecular imaging.
The Department has outstanding research programs in pre-clinical and clinical MRI, nuclear medicine (planar and SPECT), CT, PET and optical imaging. Weill Cornell Medicine has an existing translational imaging research facility with a 19/6 MeV Cyclotron and associated radiochemistry facilities, 7T and 3T MRI (for human and animal imaging), a 64 slice PET/CT (for human and animal imaging), a 7T small animal MRI, a small animal PET, a small animal tri-modality imaging platform (µSPECT/CT/PET) and several optical imaging systems. It is expected that the MI3 Director, in addition to leading an outstanding research team, will recruit additional faculty to the Institute over the next several years so as to further its reputation as an internationally recognized center of excellence in the discovery, development, and translation of new molecular imaging agents for use in basic, translational, and clinical research as well as in clinical care.
To apply, please submit a cover letter of interest, CV, summary of research accomplishments and goals, and contact information of at least three references to:
