ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY & FUNCTIONAL GENOMICS

The Department of Physiology & Functional Genomics at the University of Florida College of Medicine invites applications from exceptional scholars for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. We seek candidates with active research programs applying innovative multidisciplinary approaches to the study of Reproductive Sciences. We especially encourage applications from faculty candidates whose research is translational.  Candidates should have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree; postdoctoral experience; a solid publication record; and evidence of high potential for maintaining an externally funded, independent research program. Candidates will also be expected to contribute to the Department’s teaching mission in medical, dental, physician assistant, and graduate school courses, and to mentor graduate students. The University of Florida has a wide selection of core facilities, centers and institutes, including the Center for Perinatal Outcomes Research (http://perinatal.ufl.edu/research/center-for-perinatal-outcomes-research/), Center for Integrative Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases (https://pharmacy.ufl.edu/cicmd/), Clinical and Translational Science Institute (https://www.ctsi.ufl.edu/), and Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (http://www.biotech.ufl.edu/). The Reproductive and Perinatology Research Group of the University of Florida has convened weekly seminars during the academic year since 1969.
