Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Autophagy
Postdoctoral Research Position available to study molecular mechanisms of autophagy and its biological roles in mammalian physiology and disease. Research in the Levine lab covers several aspects of autophagy including the molecular regulation of general and selective autophagy pathways, cross-talk between autophagy and other cellular homeostatic pathways, and the functions of autophagy-related processes in development, immunity, tumor suppression, metabolism, neuroprotection and longevity. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have a strong foundation or interest in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, structural biology, microbiology and/or cell biology. They should be highly motivated and be able to work with mouse models as needed.
