The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Medicine is seeking outstanding candidates for the tenure-track faculty position at the senior Assistant Professor, Associate or Full Professor levels.
Duties:
Applicants should be creative and collaborative scientists pursuing fundamental/translational aspects of immunology, bacterial or viral pathogenesis and host response to infection, using state-of-the-art approaches, including genomics, molecular genetics, cell biology, imaging, bioinformatics or animal models.
Ideal applicants are expected to have an established research program with extramural funding and a strong publication record, and should be committed to teaching graduate and medical students.
UIC offers an intellectually exciting, collegial and supportive environment with robust graduate, MSTP and post-doctoral programs and extensive opportunities for interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration. Resources include outstanding core facilities for DNA/RNA sequencing and genomics, imaging, mass spectrometry, flow cytometry, structural analyses and automated screening.
