A postdoctoral position is open in the Maneesh Dave laboratory within the Institute for Regenerative Medicine, University of California, Davis in Sacramento, California.
The Dave laboratory studies regeneration in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. We are specifically interested in understanding the role of stem cells in IBD pathogenesis, using them (organoids) for disease modeling and ultimately for personalized treatment of patients with IBD.
The laboratory is young and energetic and seeks a motivated individual to take charge of exciting projects in the rapidly advancing field of regenerative medicine. The Dave lab is located in Sacramento, California within the Institute for Regenerative Cures, UC Davis Medical Center. We are part of the Department of Medicine and Division of Gastroenterology and Liver Disease. We collaborate extensively with groups within UC Davis and outside the university including in immunology, microbiology, machine learning, imaging and bioinformatics.
The candidate should have experience in molecular biology.
The ideal candidate for the position will have experience working in molecular biology and regenerative medicine. Immunology experience is a plus. An MD and/or PhD Degree is required.
