The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson is seeking a full time Assistant Professor (Educator Scholar Track) in the Anatomical Sciences. Successful candidates will have expertise in human gross anatomy and embryology; additional experience in histology and/or neuroanatomy is beneficial. We are seeking a faculty member who will be able to design innovative curricula that will combine traditional gross anatomy (cadavers, prosections, plastination) with emerging trends in virtual reality instruction, integration with medical imaging and on-line educational media.
Other teaching opportunities potentially available depending on experience and interest.
Opportunities to engage in scholarly activities related to medical education or functional anatomy are available but not necessary at this time.
This is a 12-month, renewable, non-tenure-track faculty position. A non-tenure-track faculty position at the University of Arizona College of Medicine include Clinical Scholar, Educator Scholar, and Research Scholar appointments at Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels.
