VISITING FACULTY POSITION in CHEMISTRY

The Department of Chemistry at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a 10-month, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position starting August 2019.

We are seeking broadly trained applicants from all areas of Chemistry, who are strongly committed to high quality teaching and deep student engagement in a primarily undergraduate, residential, liberal arts-centered institution. The successful candidate should be able to teach General Chemistry and/or Organic Chemistry courses. 

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field; ABDs will be considered if the doctoral degree will be completed prior to the start date. The candidate should also have demonstrated excellence in teaching, including prior experience teaching college-level introductory Chemistry (with laboratory), and a strong commitment to the education of undergraduates.

The Chemistry Department has 12 full-time, tenure-line faculty members and approximately 130 majors.
