Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Translational Biogerontolgy Laboratory of Dr. Benjamin Miller in the Aging and Metabolism Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is looking for a post-doctoral researcher. We are looking with someone with an interest in proteomics and some combination of aging, muscle, mitochondria, metabolism, and stable isotopes. In addition to joining the lab of Dr. Miller, the post-doc will be in a highly collaborative environment that spans the Aging and Metabolism Research Program at OMRF and the Reynolds Oklahoma Center on Aging (ROCA) at OUHSC. Aging research (Geroscience) is the thematic priority of these two programs and the associated Oklahoma Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging. The post-doc would also be eligible for the Geroscience Training Program (T32) and a wealth of other training opportunities including those in the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, use manual dexterity, talk or hear; Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or rodent dander. May work with toxic, caustic chemicals, radioactive materials, liquid nitrogen, human tissue or blood. Potential risk of electrical shock. Occasional exposure to cold 4C, and/or extreme cold -80C from freezers. Noise level is usually moderate.
