The University of Florida Department of Orthopaedics is seeking an independent-minded postdoctoral researcher, committed to excellent research. Researcher must be self-motivated and have good team building and interpersonal skills to aide in driving this vision. As part of our team, the researcher will be responsible for assisting in all phases of assay development, optimization, and validation.
Our research group is focused on developing validated in vitro models for pre-clinical/translational drug efficacy studies of potential immuno-oncologic (IO). This endeavor represents an on-going collaboration between molecular cell biologists and soft matter engineers working in partnership with major elements of the biopharmaceutical industry. Research and development activity is headquartered at the University of Florida and is fully equipped for state-of-the-art research in regenerative medicine, bioengineering and fabrication, cell and tissue mechanics, cell culture, imaging and characterization.
Interested applicants must possess an MD, PhD or equivalent degree.
Applicants with a strong background in molecular cell biology, particularly immunology, as well as, extensive experience in primary cell culture, gene expression analyses, spectroscopy, cytometry, and fluorescence/confocal microscopy are strongly encouraged to apply.
