SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINE

Established in 1999, the School of Chinese Medicine has been pursuing professional education and research in Chinese Medicine throughout the years. As part of its pursuit of excellence, the School has set up eight Research Centres for advancing prominent research areas including (i) Precision medicine and phenomics study; (ii) Translational medicine and innovative drug discovery; and (iii) Authentication and testing of Chinese medicines. The School now invites applications for the position of Associate Professor / Assistant Professor.

Teaching and Research Division

Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (PR0436/18-19)

The appointee is expected to teach biomedical programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, establish a vigorous research programme in the areas of interest, and develop interdisciplinary collaborations.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree with research focus in the area of neuroscience, neurodegeneration, immunology or immunopharmacology, preferably with background in western medicine. Preference will be given to those with research background in the above areas, appealing external grant record and outstanding publication.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
