Position Summary
The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct research on antifungal vaccine development and diagnostic assays for infectious diseases and bacterial toxins. Research will involve mass spectrometric methods, protein chemistry, and microbiological approaches. The trainee will benefit from a close interaction with world-class clinical and basic science faculty and staff, and gain experience in state-of-the-art proteomics, molecular genetics, cell biology, and animal model experimentation.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.
Preferred education experience and skills:
- Experience in molecular biology and biochemistry or chemistry, as well as in animal experimentation (mouse), tissue cultures (cell biology), analytical HPLC, and mass spectrometry;
- Knowledge in the fields of immunology and microbiology, in particular in pathogen-host-interactions.
