RESEARCH SCIENTIST to help lead studies of Huntington’s disease as well as other neurodegenerative disorders.  The Fraenkel Lab is using omic measurements and computational modeling to reveal the molecular mechanisms behind neurodegenerative diseases, to identify novel potential therapeutic strategies, and to test these strategies in vitro and in vivo.  Researcher will focus on generating omic data and will interact with in-house computational experts to generate new hypotheses regarding the mechanisms of disease, and design experimental tests of the hypotheses that emerge from this modeling. Laboratory work will include transcriptional and epigenomic assays, cell sorting-based experiments, and functional assays on mouse models and in-vitro cell models.
