The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in the area of deep learning-based single-cell image analysis for breast cancer diagnosis, starting this summer. The fellow will also coordinate a collaborative project with Prof. Hakho Lee’s lab at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. An initial appointment will be full-time for a 12 month period. The range of annual salary will be from $48,000 to $50,000 including a full benefits package. Renewal of the appointment will be contingent upon the performance. WPI founded in 1865 was one of the United States' first technology universities. WPI is located in Worcester, the second largest city in Massachusetts, and an hour away from Boston.
We seek qualified candidates with a strong background in one of machine learning, deep learning, computer science, physics, engineering, and mathematics. The candidates should have a strong computational and quantitative research experience along with strong publication records. The previous deep learning experience is highly preferred. Additional experience in cell biology and optics will be a plus.
