Postdoctoral Position in Genomics

The Genomics Research Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a productive and highly motivated individual interested in genomics. Current studies make use of molecular genetic and genomic approaches to understand complex biological processes, in particular cancer biology. Genomic research demands are rapidly changing and this requires novel method development in transcriptomics, targeted gene panel design, and single-cell genomics.

Applicants should hold a PhD in the biomedical sciences, computational biology or related discipline with strong experience in molecular/cancer biology, genetics/omics, and/or bioinformatics. Wet and/or 'dry' lab experience with genomic technology/data (WGS, RNA-Seq, ATAQ-seq,), single-cell genomic approaches, gene editing, and flow cytometry are highly desirable, but applicants with a strong background in a related area, track-record of accomplishment, and desire to work in a multidisciplinary team of investigators focused on cancer genomics will be considered. Candidates should have excellent scientific writing and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others.
