Postdoctoral Fellowships in Molecular Immunology
RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (IMS), Yokohama, Japan.
A few positions for postdoctoral fellows, who will be able to start around Fall 2019 to Spring 2020, are available to study transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of development and function of immune cells, particularly T lymphocytes, in Ichiro Taniuchi’s Laboratory for Transcriptional Regulation in the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (IMS) at Yokohama, Japan. Research in our laboratory aims to decipher the molecular mechanisms that regulate primary development of the immune system as well as secondary differentiation of immune cells upon exposure to environmental cues. Our laboratory integrates in vivo studies utilizing experimental mouse lines and developing multidisciplinary approaches including genetics, molecular biology, interactomics and bioinformatics. Prospective candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent degree and have a strong background in immunology and molecular biology. They should have experience in studies using mouse immune cells and the ability to perform complex flow cytometry and molecular biology experiments. Previous work on chromatin-based gene regulation or proteomics-based interactome knowledge is a plus.
