Two Open Rank Faculty Positions in Stem Cell Research or Cancer Immunology Research

 

The College of Life Sciences of Hebei University seeks applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in the area of stem cell research or cancer immunology research field. Outstanding investigators at any rank will be considered. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experiences. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. in the field of biomedical sciences and the ability to develop an independently-funded research program exploring any aspect of stem cell biology of cancer research. Post-doctoral experience is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to highly motivated candidates with years of experience, plus an outstanding publication record in the related area. The appointed faculty will also be expected to teach classes for graduate and undergraduate students.

Hebei University (HBU) is located in a historical city, Baoding, which is about 90 miles south of Beijing. HBU has been attracting more world-wide attentions in recent years because it is the closest university to the new developmental zone Xiongan District, which was appointed by the central government 2 years ago.  HBU was originally founded by French Jesuits in 1921, and currently has an enrollment of 33,000, including 6,100 full-time graduates and 26,900 full-time undergraduates in 15 colleges.  As a key comprehensive university, Hebei University (HBU) is co-constructed by Ministry of Education, the People's Government of Hebei Province and State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense of PRC. It is also one of the first-level universities participating in China’s construction plan of national first-class university and world-class disciplines, with strong support from the Hebei Provincial Government. College of Life Sciences is the dominant college of Hebei University. The academic team are mainly composed of academic members of Chinese Academy of Sciences, “National Thousand-Talents Program” professors, as well as well-established professors. Most of the faculty members maintain active research grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation, as well as the Provincial Ministry of Science and Technology. The college is home to about 300 undergraduate students, 160 Master’s degree students and 15 Ph.D. students each year.  The college has been appointed as the leading college for the university’s “Double First-Class" initiative, which has been undergoing rapidly expansion.
