The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The applicant should have a Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D., at least two years of relevant postdoctoral research experience, and strong career goals of developing an independently-funded research program that fits within the thematic focus of the Center for Molecular and Cellular Signaling in the Cardiovascular System.  The applicant must be eligible to become a Project Leader in the Center’s COBRE Program grant (P20GM130459). The position will be highly competitive with regard to start-up funds, laboratory space, and salary. The candidate will be able to receive a minimum of 3 years of research support through the COBRE program and formal, proactive mentorship from a group of multi-disciplinary, internationally recognized faculty performing cardiovascular research.   Selection will be based on excellence in research, the potential to develop and maintain an outstanding research program and commitment to teaching of medical and graduate students.
