Postdoctoral Fellowship – Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology

 Description:

A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the area of molecular cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. 

 Qualifications:

The candidate will be expected to have mastery of the following skills: Western blotting, phosphorylation assays, co-immunoprecipitation, PCR, qPCR, cell culture, genetic cloning, cardiovascular physiology, and animal husbandry.  The candidate must have a PhD or MD PhD degree with a strong research background in cell biology, molecular biology, and cloning.  Ability to learn new research technologies, capability to work independently and as part of a team is required.  Knowledge of cardiac physiology, statistics, and strong communication skills are advantageous.
