Chemistry and Colloids Research Positions

KFUPM has launched a new College, the College of Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  We are hiring researchers for the Center for Integrative Petroleum Research (CIPR) which is part of the College’s academic research enterprise, supporting curiosity-driven research, as well as performing problem-oriented research for both government and industry.  The substantial increase in College-based research activity will support a ten-fold increase in enrollment in research-oriented doctoral programs over the next ten years.  The center is structured around a range of programs with the key basic chemistry research being conducted in the "Oilfield Chemistry (OFC) " and "Colloids and Interfaces (CIS)"  programs.

Anyone with a desire to perform cutting edge research in an exciting environment with the resources to take any idea to the next level is encouraged to apply.  We are particularly looking for a senior researcher at the associate professor level with expertise in Fundamental inorganic chemistry, interface chemistry related topics, organic chemistry relevant to colloids and interfaces and electrokinetics.

Competitive tax-free salaries are offered, based on qualifications and experience. All faculty are provided with free furnished on-campus housing with free essential utilities and maintenance. The faculty appointment includes the following benefits according to the university’s policy: air ticket/s to Dammam upon appointment; annual repatriation air tickets for up to 4 resident persons; a contribution towards local tuition fees for school-age dependent children; 30 days annual leave; premium medical insurance in addition to free health care at KFUPM Clinic; end of service gratuity of one month base pay for each full year completed.
